Turns out I don't have said homework to do, as I missed a deadline to apply for the test in June! This of course is bad, but I feel a lot better, because the test is easily retaken and because it's above my proficiency level.
The moral of this lesson is ask multiple important people an unhealthy number of questions daily, double-check their words against bulletin-boards you read more frequently, and record all relevant dates and prices in your handy pocket notebook.
For me this is a little like a story telling the reader they are being held responsible for, say, any cars they saw in their travels without noting license number and speed-
surprising, and sounds like a hassle. But of course it's more realistic than all that. *sigh*
In China, you can be thirsty for orange juice and mistakenly buy flan. Thankfully, the straw provided makes short work of flan. *nods, sips and chews demonstratively*
Speaking of flan, the sky's a most wonderful orange at the moment.
